Several of my exhaust manifold bolt heads broke off even though they have never been removed causing hot exhaust to leak out igniting some electrical wiring. My mechanic told me this is a very common problem with gm v8's. *js

Exhaust System
1999 and up chevy gmc silverado with the 6.0 liter engine are having problems with the exhaust manifold bolts rusting off. This creates and exhaust leak that is bad for air pollution not to mention with gas in the area a fire hazard. This problem need a recall and many have the problem and don't know it and the ones that do fix it pay a lot of labor cost this is a fairly labor intense job. *tr
