Brake line burst do to rust. Had vehicle towed and found all the brakelines very bad. Also the fuel lines are rotted with the return line leaking fuel. I had 1 rear brake line replaced in 2012 which was also rusted out. *tr

The fuel gauge malfunctions after filling tank - it reads empty immediately and intermittently thereafter at any fuel level. Vehicle has been diagnosed with bad fuel injectors. Symptoms include excessive smoke and smog test failure. Manufacturer has a 7 year/200,000 mile warranty on injectors. My vehicle has 121,000 miles but was placed in service 12/2003. Massively common problem on all duramax diesels. Manufacturer only warranties the repaired vehicles for 12 months or 12,000 miles. *tt

Truck had hard time starting when cold for 2 weeks prior to truck not starting at all. Took truck in was told fuel pump shorted , melted wire harness and fuel pump module melted. Half of engine compartment wire harness melted also. Was told by mechanic we were very lucky that the truck did not explode. This is to cost $1800.00 in repairs. *tr
