I have a 2002 chevrolet 2500 4x4. I noticed the rear brakes were getting very hot. I pulled the rear wheels and noticed the rotors had rust pits in them which i believe caused the brake pads to wear prematurely. The front pads and rotors are fine. I had the rear rotors machined and replaced the brake pads. *nm

Dt: the brake rotors pitted, corroded, rusted, and flaked. The brakes have been serviced, and the mechanic said that other rotors have been corroding as well. The rotors don't show signs of a problem until the metal has worn down. The consumer contacted general motor and said the were very rude.*ak
